Stefanie began her teaching career after graduating from Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln, in 1997 with Qualified Teacher Status. She later completed the National Award for SEND Coordination (NASENCo) at the University of Northampton and a Diploma in Specific Learning Differences from the University of Leicester.

Over her career to date, Stefanie has worked across three diverse school settings. She has held a range of roles, including class teacher (EYFS to Year 6), Literacy Lead, and Designated Teacher for Children in Care. Most recently, she has worked as the school’s SENDCo, supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream setting of approximately 500 pupils.

Stefanie has led a Speech and Language Enhanced Provision within the school, working closely with speech and language therapists to deliver tailored interventions for pupils with significant communication needs. She also co-developed ‘The Nest’, a safe and supportive space for children with emotional needs.

Her work in SEND has been recognised through positive feedback during Ofsted and SATs monitoring visits. She regularly delivers training to colleagues on areas such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language, and attachment needs.

Stefanie is committed to inclusive practice and to ensuring that all children have the opportunity to succeed.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the countryside and can often be found behind a camera capturing her favourite wildlife, hares.

Driven by a profound belief in the power of relational approaches to education, Emma became Director of Inclusion in 2023, where she managed an internal provision focused on student well-being and progress within a mainstream setting. In addition to this, and wanting to support diverse learners further, she qualified as a SENDCO in 2024 through Middlesex University.

Lauren completed a BA (Hons) in Primary Teaching and spent eight years teaching in a mainstream primary setting. During her time there, she was instrumental in leading both English and Assessment as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), developing curriculum and practice across the school. Whilst in this role, she also covered the vital position of SENDCo, deepening her understanding of inclusive practice and the specific needs of pupils facing barriers to learning.

Having gained significant experience in both mainstream primary education and in supporting vulnerable learners, she made the move to Springwell to focus on supporting children with SEMH needs. By joining Springwell, she aims to bring her passion for inclusive education and knowledge of teaching and learning to a setting where she can directly support vulnerable pupils to overcome barriers to learning, and achieve their full potential.
